Send XML in XML console generates an exception

Description

I opened the send XML window, typed <presence> and clicked Send. A exception was generated.

After I clicked "Send and Relaunch", the window closed, no relaunch was performed and I could see the red Invalid XML message.

(In [254]) Sending an empty string in the XML input sheet of the XML console is no longer allowed. Fixes #213.
