File transfer does not work with the Windows SAPO Messenger client

Description

In some situations, I'm unable to receive files from a Windows SAPO Messenger client.

It seems to me that the Win SAPO Messenger sends several candidates, including the local IP of the client for fast P2P transfers and we only test one of them.

Our client should test all of the proposed IPs.

After extensive testing transferring files both to and from a Windows SAPO Messenger (m5) client, we were not able to reproduce this issue. Maybe it was triggered only with earlier builds of either the windows client or the mac client.

The tests that were performed included the following setups:

  • both clients on the same local network;
  • both clients on the same local network, with a firewall between them (they would have to fallback to using the proxy server);
  • each client on a separate network, with a firewall between them.
